We are always thrilled to welcome new patients at Sprout Pediatrics! From newborns to young adults, our Metairie pediatric practice is ready to help your child grow. Whether you’re expecting a new baby or want to transfer from another provider, we consider it an honor to serve your family.

Your First Visit

Give us a call to schedule your first well child visit! Please note that we do require vaccine records prior to your child’s first visit to our office.

For expectant parents, we also offer meet and greet visits to answer any important questions you have. Our goal is to help you feel at ease, especially during those first few days and weeks after delivery. We’ll take this opportunity to get to know you, as well as your growing family.

New Patient Packet

Vaccine Policy

Sprout Pediatrics only accepts patients who are fully vaccinated per the recommended schedule as set forth by the CDC. Patients who are currently delayed can discuss a catch-up schedule with one of the providers.

Appointment Policy

In order to serve our patients in the most efficient manner, Sprout Pediatric visits are by appointment only. We also ask you to check in ten minutes prior to your appointment to complete any required paperwork.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your child’s appointment, we will be happy to assist you. We kindly ask that you make appointment changes no later than 24 hours (one business day) before your appointment. This allows us to see every child in a timely manner.

Please note that we do offer same-day sick appointments for your convenience.

After-Hours Policy

If your child becomes sick outside of our regular business hours, know that you have several options. Call our office and choose the prompt to be connected with our nurse or doctor who is on call. We will return your call within one hour.

We also encourage families to use our secure patient portal. This feature allows you to send routine questions, submit refill requests, and even request appointments after hours.

As always, in the event of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

Financial Policy

Depending on your insurance policy, a copayment and/or deductible may be required at the time of service. Payment may be made in cash, by check, or by card. We also accept Health Savings Account (HSA) cards for payment.

Note that it’s important to contact your insurance company if you have questions about your coverage and benefits. If your insurance company denies coverage (or we do not receive payment 60 days from filing your claim), the amount will then become due and payable by you.

School and Camp Policy

Physical forms that need to be completed for school and camp will require a physical examination at Sprout Pediatrics within the last year. However, some organizations require a shorter time frame. Please refer to your child’s individual form for specific requirements.

Forms for each preschool, school, and college may have slight variations, so we request that you print and fill out your portion of the form prior to submitting it to the clinic. You may mail, fax, or drop off forms to the office. Please allow three business days for all forms to be completed and ready for pick up.
